Fwiw Colby's only loss to date was via guillotine from Warlley Alves at UFC 194 about 2 years ago. He does have 6 of his 12 wins via sub himself (one being an injury so 5 really) but obviously no where near Damian's level here. Even on the feet he's not such a serious threat that he can just kickboxing for 3 rounds and that's assuming he can't fight the TD.

Damian subs him late in the 3rd imo after he wears him down early. I'll go with RNC.

Methinks it's because Woodly 'Exposed' him with the perfect 'Plan'. The idea that people will emulate his strategy to successfully shut Maia down is what I think drives those betting numbers.

I see Maia winning if that happens - it's Sao Paulo, and it's not like K1 Maia hasn't won awful striking fights against fellow grapplers before. Colby has to be a lot more worried about Maia taking him down than vice versa, so that will give Maia an extra edge on the feet. Colby has to actually hurt Maia on the feet or display confidence in his sub defence and top control to win this.
