It sounds like Mirko Cro Cop is back.

Rizin FF head Nobuyuki Sakakibara announced in an Instagram post Friday that the MMA heavyweight legend is planning to return to the sport for a few more fights in the Japan-based promotion.

“[Cro Cop] has decided to fight in front of his beloved Japanese fans a few more times before he retires,” Sakakibara wrote. “He would like to continue to face meaningful opponents until he hangs his gloves. Keep an eye out for Mirko's final chapter.”

He says he's in the best shape in years due to surgeries that fixed some physical problems. He has looked much better in his recent fights than he did in many of his UFC matches.

It could be worse, since he's only fighting TK, but it would suck to lose to a guy that lost in the quarterfinals of the tournament you won.
