I don't want him to fail. Wouldn't wish that on anyone. I'd really like for him to get his shit together instead of falling into a downward spiral.I cant wait for this fool to fall on his face.he is going to be the next jon jones

He is blurring the line between the persona and realityI don't want him to fail. Wouldn't wish that on anyone. I'd really like for him to get his shit together instead of falling into a downward spiral.
That said, i can't stand his persona, have never rooted for him, and would love to see him lose both belts finally so MMA can move on as a sport
i will certainly agree with you thereHe is blurring the line between the persona and reality
If he really wasn’t calling the fight off and thought the round had ended. I’m not sure why this wasn’t declared a DQ loss for Conor’s guy. Not sure how he could efficiently evaluate the downed fighter in the situation that unfolded.Goddard wrote a really long response, but the whole thing is worth reading.

He didn't do anything to dq himself - it was fan interference. Imo that would be a no contest, I would think. If he really wasn’t calling the fight off and thought the round had ended. Ok that’s true since Conor wasn’t a cornermen. If he was than a DQ or essentially throwing in the towel should have been the call.He didn't do anything to dq himself - it was fan interference. Imo that would be a no contest, I would think.
The referee isn't the timekeeper. The referee makes the determination that the fighter is not intelligently defending himself, the timekeeper makes the determination if it happened during or after the round (if requested by the referee)If he really wasn’t calling the fight off and thought the round had ended. correct but refs stop the action all the time and Godard didn’t stop the fight because he wasn’t defending himself. Also the ref can call a TKO even after the bell has sounded. The referee isn't the timekeeper. Yeah that is kind of odd.I'm confused, every video i saw of Conor he immediately ran to his buddy to celebrate. The only time he went over to Redmond was to fight with the ref.
If he was concerned for the fighter then why not go to him first? Maybe i'm missing something
Whatever your opinion, Goddard is a class class act. What a succinct, honest, down right refreshing retort to a mega star trying to paper over the fact he fucked up big time.Goddard wrote a really long response, but the whole thing is worth reading.

I think Goddard learned a lesson too. He definitely fucked up but his reasoning and description of his mindset seem honest and believable. He'll learn from this and be even better than he already is next time out.Let’s also not fo
