If you don't get tear-jerked when the ending scene music starts you have no soul.
Thanks for mentioning this. I'll probably watch this in the near future with my kids. I saw it as a kid but I'm 38 so it'll be like watching it for the first time for me.

Spider-Man

When I saw that Tobey Maguire was cast to play him, I wept.
Then I learned that Kirsten Dunst had to kiss him, & I wept again.
Then I learned Kirsten was a bitch so I wept for everyone.
Then I found myself weeping for Tobey Maguire, and I wept even more for myself.
Then you're just weeping because you're weeping.

I did my best.

I watched Cry Freedom in history class at school and that screwed me up for a good 5 minutes too.

That movie captures the pain of a man forever trying to be validated as a man. Just wanting redemption.

Men don't fear their death as much as they fear loneliness and failure.

There's the obvious parallel that Mickey Rourke is acting all of his own internal demons. But I feel like it's a universal understanding amongst most men what he goes through that movie.

I choke up at old men crying:

Nolte trying to make amends after being a drunk gets me in Warrior.

I can't handle it. Tearing up just thinking about it.
Let's really bring on the onions...

The girl that played Ducky was murdered by her abusive father. She voiced Ducky (yep yep yep) and Anne Marie in All Dogs go to Heaven.
I can't watch either without thinking of this poor 9 year old reading happy lines while having to go home to a father that would throw pots and pans at her face.
