Please educate me as these are 3 of the 8 fighters on the Big Fox main card. And before you start with the whole 'you aints not an MMA fan' routine, I know who Drew Dober is and that alone should qualify me as Professor of random MMA knowledge.

Should I give a shit about any of these people or are they just cans?

You've probably seen all three of them fight before if you watch the prelims regularly

Not big names at all though

Rinaldi is good on the ground but still needs to work on rounding out his game
Gregor is a really good prospect with a solid all round game
This should actually be a really good fight and a solid test for gregor

Camacho is fun to watch and is solid everywhere
His two fights in the ufc have both won FOTN
I'm taking dober in that fight but it should be pretty damn good

I don't watch Fightpass prelims generally, unless they are doing that shit where they actually put one of the best fights on there, then I magically have Fightpass for a few minutes.

I looked up Camacho's record and have seen that he has two FOTN. I remember I did watch his fight with Jigalong (kudos to whoever simplified that name), but fucked if I remember what he looks like.

I'm fine watching anyone fight. I love the sport. That being said, I just can't understand why they don't have name guys on the free cards to build up casual fan interest or try and bring in new fans.

They need to cut the roster in half.have the guys ranked in the top 15 fight in the ufc and the rest in a strikeforce challengers style promotion until they work their way up thru the ranks.

Jordan Rinaldi is a local NC fighter, veteran of 2 UFC fights. Solid brown belt, good striking fundamentals and working diligently on progressing his striking game. He has trained with Wonderboy quite a few times, and stops in every time he is passing through town. Great guy, he always participates in the regular grappling classes and rolls with everyone when he visits. He is also gotten very strong and trains Olympic lifting regularly.

Camacho had one of the fight of the years against the australian Damien Brown. I recommend watching that fight, so good. Gregor is good on the eye when it comes to fighting style (if I remember correctly)

Have a solid amount of PPV's for the top 15 and have strike force challengers like show weekly with news and fights.

I remember when these "Big FOX" cards were filled with big names. They don't even make an effort anymore.

Or a few less PPV's and stack the Big Fox cards as if they were a PPV since they have the biggest audience of casuals.

Boxing promoters do the same thing. When they get a shot on network TV they might load one card with good fights with proven guys, but that's it. Fight promoters seem to want instead success with those ratings when it takes years to build that up. Plus you need it to be a regular fixture, rather than a few cards per year; run a few cards a year on network TV and you really need to load the card like a PPV and promote it to really gain the viewers you want. (And at that point it's more profitable, at least in the short term, to just run a PPV with less people watching.)
