I sure as hell hope not!

The last fight on Swanson's UFC contract was his loss to Brian Ortega in December. Meanwhile, the UFC has removed Cub from its featherweight rankings.

Prior to being subbed by Ortega, Swanson, 34, had won four straight. He's 10-4 in his UFC career and known for his grit in the cage.

Cub made this statement to MMAjunkie after his loss in December: “It stings. It just gets thrown back in your face, ‘You don’t win the big ones.’ So, it’s like, what am I going to say? I’m sure we’ll negotiate. Dana said ‘let’s make a deal’ from outside the cage. But do I got to crawl back and say, ‘OK, I’ll take that deal I said no to’?”

Cub has given me enough entertainment in the cage. I'd like to see him doing competitive grappling, or EBI-slap-fighting.

But I'm OK with him heading out of the games where people hit him in the head. I felt the same way when Kampmann called it a career.

We may have seen the last of him in the UFC but not MMA. I hope that he gets a better deal than what he was originally offered. if not he can test out free agency. Would be a very welcome addition in Bellator

He refused to sign a new contract before the Ortega fight because he thought he was underpaid. He took a shot at it, and if he won he would probably have gotten a better offer.... but he basically made himself this mess when he lost. I do think we will see him in bellator.

Benson, Bader, Davis, Mousasi, and Larkin all left after finishing their contracts with wins and they didn't get paid. Not by the UFC...
