At first I thought UFC wouldn't risk joking about a main event falling apart a week before the event. The fast Holloway announcement is too convenient. Holloway is the most obvious fighter they could announce that wouldn't hurt their PPV buys or ticket sales. You could see the UFC not wanting to risk playing this joke and then playing it safe by immediately announcing that Holloway was in.

He can get cleared by a UFC doctor if the price is right. He's gonna make a shit ton of money for stepping up on short notice. Of course he's gonna get the shit beat out of him. That's fine though, he can blame it on the short notice and set up an instant rematch. They can fight twice before Ferg is ready to go again.
