That's a square pan pizza, super thick bread. Basically the same. It's like enchaladas tasteing exactly the same as tortillas or burritos. It's just folded and shaped differently. It's the Taco Bellazation of pizza. I think Detroit is trying to hard.

That's exactly what it is. Few years back I waited on the owners of a Jets Pizza, a Detroit franchise, that recently opened. Nice guys, tipped very well, drank good beer. So I ordered a pizza from there a week or so later. It was fucking awful and most of it ended up in the garbage. Total waste of money.
Should have sent it to me. Would have found a hungry creature, seriously; throwing away food is a sin.

Eat balls. There is plenty of good thin crust in Chicago too. Although I can't apologize for the square cut. I prefer slices. My uncle is an eagle scout who is lives just a few miles from USAF academy where he taught winter wilderness survival and retired as a major. I've spent some time in the Rockies. He also sent 2 years as a forest ranger in the Tetons. He now teaches geology at a Colorado high school.
