LOL-Logic 101:
Just 'cos he raped someone doesn't mean he's a rapist.
Just 'cos he stole something doesn't mean he's a thief.
Just 'costs he lied about something doesn't mean he's a liar.
Just 'cos he said racist things doesn't mean.....

I don't agree, it's pretty simple, certain things are clearly racist, and it's easy to see what is and what is not. People often try to murky and muddy the waters on this topic, to enable an excuse to carry on the status quo, not saying you are doing that, just saying generally.
On the contrary, what I witness most people do is exaggerate perceived racism towards their own group and turn a blind eye with regard to their own practices and discourse in an attempt to gain more social currency. Most everyone wants to increase the amount of shit they can get away with and reduce the amount of shit others can. What "some" people want is a stacked deck in their favour and no one else's.
I think there's a good chance you're that type.

Lol that was pretty clever

I'd like to see you and kneeblock @Kneeblock discuss what you see as solutions to the race divisions in the US. Ive noticed those outside of the US often find our discourse on the subject crazy, if not counterproductive. I'm not sure if it's just different experiences being voiced or if there is a legit under/over focus on one side or the other. I've literally never met anyone outside the US that uses the terms we use to describe various social and race issues. Even when there are parallels in their own society.
Oh yeah, you guys are positively nuts. But when I tune in to your airwaves (hard to avoid once I'm in Canada), it's easy to see how you get that way: there is a consistent and pervasive undercurrent which enforces the idea that there's a racist angle to things.
I see the problem as having a multicultural society and not a multi-ethnic one and in general, having a rather weak culture. I mean, what the fuck binds you guys other than eating too much buying shit constantly and saying "bro" and "sick" a lot (yes that's an exaggeration)?

Most of this is accurate. We do have a multi-cultural structure because America's origins are so contestable. Our founding mythology is unsettled unlike older countries. The varying passage of groups from non-citizen to citizen with qualifications to uneasy citizen is part of the reason why. We have a political economy that was organized around disinclusion and were slower to address it than other countries. We still are. In this context, a weak tie culture is bound to result, which suits our country's normative expectations toward individualism well. In the face of this, class consciousness falters.

Nah, you are just speaking in vague general terms, and you are labeling people on what you think we will do. Like right now, you are trying to label me when you really don't have a handle on what I actually would or would do, or say or would not say.

I don't agree ;)

Well, what I've noticed about your posting history is a tendency to cast insults yet complain when others do the same to you. This leads me to the conclusion you're at least partially the type I had previously described. If you belong to an ethnic minority then there's an even greater chance this describes you.

As I wrote, there are very ingrained reasons to why everyone is in some ways "racist" (we're following that very loose meaning of the word). And as such, I'm usually more wary of the people who claim to have absolutely no racial bias, they're either the least self-introspective and self-aware or just outright liars.

*edit* I don't dislike you btw, for the most part I enjoy our banter but I'm not going to lie for the sake of some false pretense.

I think that's what I was trying to get at, in less eloquent terms.
Y'know, I think, or at least I've seen, sports are one of the best ways to get people on the same "team" regardless of culture or ethnicity. If you practice, sweat, suffer, fail and succeed together in training or in competition, it cultivates unity over the long haul.

I like you but there is too much wrong with your post. This is way we get stuck in this rut, is people just keep trying to put other people into boxes they don't fit into, way too much assuming. So because I belong to an ethnic minority, in your mind you think you are describing me and also looking at my posting style, way too much wrong with that and way way too much assuming and guessing by you.

At work right now, but I'll give an example in a bit of what would be something that is racist, compared to using assumptions that is not racist but that people may accuse of being racist.

Stay tuned

Then there would be another term denoting a similar idea
Agreed

Im ready for a new one

I bet there are small communities/tribes where they do not have a word with such a meaning....I am jealous of them

You know you are doing somethign right when a troll like Ted Williams' head @karate chop! is following you around giving drunks and rainbows lol
I have to point out that @blank made a very astute observation about you that was just proven true.

"Well, what I've noticed about your posting history is a tendency to cast insults yet complain when others do the same to you." -Blank

Over the past two days, you've given my posts almost a dozen negative rankings (drunk, optimistic, shit, etc).

I give you one "drunk" rating in this thread, and you turn yourself into a victim and complain.

So while you will continue to argue about how you don't fit into any of his generalizations, you just proved him right! lol

Also @blank do you lump bias and racism as the same thing or do you see a subtle difference?
As I wrote, I'm going with what can be construed as "racism." So, you will find, someone will consider one action "clearly racist" if person A does it but be downgraded to just a "home team bias" if they themselves do it.

It's funny, when you run afoul of Sensoria (and I believe @conor mcgregor nut hugger will back me up on this), he goes into your posting history and gives you "drunk" ratings on all your recent posts, trying to get on your nerves. I get a laugh out of a guy wasting his time like that, so I never really retaliate.

But every once and awhile I'll read one of his posts and think he literally must be drunk, so I give him a drunk rating. And it inevitably sends him into a rage spiral.
