Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is currently serving at least a two-year suspension for his failed drug test at UFC 214 a year ago. However, his team is expecting that “Bones” would somehow be able to return within 2018.

For both Chael Sonnen and UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington, this could be a problem. For one, they would be putting USADA’s integrity and legitimacy in question.

“I feel like if that does happen that he comes in before that two-year time frame, we would find out a lot about USADA,” Covington told Sonnen in a recent guest spot on the Beyond the Fight podcast. “I think they would lose a lot of credit.”

“If he ends up…

After USADA's fiasco with Barnett, and seeing Brock in the octagon after UFC 226, who can take the process seriously anymore? Too many mistakes and inconsistencies.

I've been saying USADA is dirty as fuck for a while now. That said I don't think Jones
gets a baby slap this time. He's pissed the bed too many times now

Nothing would surprise me though with the shit show excuse for sport the UFC has become

Pretty much what I am thinking. The UFC pays USADA so anything is possible.

The whole Brock situation deserves further scrutiny also.

Brock is serving his suspension with USADA
There was even more time he was out because he took time away from testing

bad example ;)

Who knows what PED's he's been taking during this "suspension".
That has nothing to do with USADA
They can't force a test on a fighter that is not active on the roster
Lets see how he does between now & January

I don't like it that a guy can juice to the gills while on "suspension".

Technically he wasn't on suspension. His time was frozen until he agreed to be tested again.
That is why he still has time to serve.
No system is perfect but at least they are trying to do something.
I rather they catch some cheaters than none.
The fact that Jones was kicked off UFC 200 says a lot.
But i agree if Jones gets less than 2 years that is lame

He would have to stay in the testing pool to be elibible to return after his suspension. 6 months before return. Although Brock proves that isnt really a thing either

When he came back before at UFC 200. Remember the one with the piss coloured mat in the octagon?
That has nothing to do with my post about this fight though.

He was able to skip the 4 month window bc he retired before USADA was brought in.

He was caught & sat out 2 years & then still had 6 months left on his suspension & is serving it.

There are no corners/exemptions this time
that was the point of what you quoted

You sure he wont get exempt? I wouldnt put it past them.

I am on your side. Just pointing out that rules have been left a little wishy washy in the eyes of the public before
