or do you think Dana has input into how refs approach fights.

Mirgliotta called two bullshit breaks when Woodley was trying to finish takedowns. I’ve never seen this problem with him before. Is it possible someone from the UFC would have had a word with him and instructed Dan to “not let Woodley stall Till against the fence”? I know Dana would have been scared of another 5 round snoozer. I think Dan felt the pressure and overreacted, those separations were shady.

I didn't have a problem with them in this fight and don't have a problem with quick wall breaks in general, even though I do have a problem with quick stand ups on the ground.

I don't see any inconsistency - you should be given plenty of time to work from a takedown but you shouldn't get the same leeway to secure one, as more often than not once that position looks like it's a stalemate, it stays one.

Felt a little early based on what I'm used to seeing, but also agree with this. ^

The ref has too much power in this game. Combined with the ambiguity of rules, they can be adjusted to fit a narrative (“damage”,”action”) or whatever depending on each distinct situation, on the contrary someone might choose to let something go on (for the “purity” and “integrity “ of the sport). The way the ufc has control over what fighters say and wear, it is not out of the realms of possibility that they could have influence over someone who is participating in every single event they hold, be it security guards, analysts or “independently assigned” referees, judges and commissioners

In my mind it was always BIG TAN DAN MIRAGLIOTTA ...

When Dana and Company has invested heavily in certain fighters, they will appoint Tan Dan or Herb to do their part To try and manipulate the outcome by making subtle bullshit calls.

Those backroom bonuses are still being put to use

I'm very close to proving that Adelaide Byrd is actually Dana White in drag.

I'm no Tan Dan Fan, but I'll give him some margin here. There's a difference between actively working to improve position or inflict damage, and holding position until the the other guy makes a move. When it comes to Wall-n-Stall takedowns and defense, I'd prefer to see quicker separation.

Tyrion wood has a long and documented history of putting on some of the shittest fights of all time. Yes he scored a great victory the other night, but history tells that it would have never happened.if Dan haddnt split them up. Woodley has proven in the past to be more than happy to do fuck all and just lean on someone.

Dan saved the card by splitting them up. Wooodle is a safety fighter.

Actually, one of the breaks came just seconds after TIll successfully turned Woodley into the fence, if I recall correctly. I doubt Dan was told anything of the sort but, if he was, he clearly wasn't instructed to disadvantage either of the fighters in particular.

The first time he broke them up was bullshit. That was WAY too soon.

The 2nd time was a bit early but nothing too out of line. I think its safe to say he was
feeling pressure from somewhere. I'd like to think Egg had nothing to do with it
but the fact that Dana skipped the post fight presser and still has not
publicly congratulated T Wood screams of suspicion to me.

Why has Egg not promoted how awesome T Wood was in that fight?

Where is the media push for him after dismantling and making Till look like a child?

Till was getting the push even before he fucking won and we all know Egg would
be on every news outlet promoting Till right now.

He cant even publicly congratulate Woodley let alone put some media behind him
