The 9/8 PPV numbers were well below expectations with Woodley vs. Till on top . An early number of about 130,000.

I still do not understand why they are doing 12 PPV's next year
Only thing that makes sense is they were contracted to with providers.

They make more off an ESPN+ card than PPV at that level of buys

Well I'm not seeing it. You could have been cool and put the link in for everybody but you choose to be a condescending prick, so have a nice day!

lol
His newsletter is behind a paywall, so its impossible to do
Most know that & there was zero condescending about any of my replies (which you did not even quote me in, so I could reply faster, but I still did)

I wrote who reported it & quoted him (see italics) which is both professional & "cool" to do.

but for being a tool ...

This sucks for the champs that don't have the "aura" about them to draw casuals to buy a PPV.
They can't get PPV money because they don't hit the threshold & since UFC needs 12 PPV mains per year, they are stuck in PPV's that don't get exposure.
So the cycle won't end unless UFC drops the PPV per year.

UFC makes about $5m from a 130k PPV, so while not good, its not a money loser.
But its such an archaic business model (PPV every month) that ESPN+ makes them more money than that PPV did

Woodley is a known dud, but I thought Till would boost the number a bit more.

Meltzer makes people pay for his shit. Frankie is prob the only person on this forum who has a subscription.

Why?
His fanbase is in UK & they don't buy PPV now
He has a fanbase here as well. He has charisma and everything that would make him successful over here (talks funny but still understandable, brash, cocky).

But he lost, so now he's gonna have to work harder to build himself back up.

Wow, that's abysmal.

To be completely fair to Tyron though, he didn't exactly have a lot of help from his undercard. When your co-main is a non-title WMMA fight that doesn't involve Ronda Rousey, that's a tough one.

But no doubt his last few fights played a big factor in this...

He's known-ish. But unfortunately his last performance was a horrible fight with Wonderboy so it's not like fans really know him to be thrilling.

Add in the super exciting performances that Woodley has been putting on and this was doomed.

May as well have been headlined by Santos and Anders.

I'm not even sure how much I'm joking about that last sentence.

At that point he was not a draw
If he won & they could have built the whole UK thing around him, he could have been a marginal one IMO

So people value a TWood title defense even less than Mighty Mouse. Yikes.

Now dude is longing for Rory's Bellator experience. I actually like TWood, but he'll never get out of his own way.
