He's not wrong about Coker's limits as a promoter. Even when Strikeforce was at its peak, promotion was weak and production was fucking clownshoes. Putting aside the quality of the fighters and focusing only on the production, attending a live SF show was like attending an amateur event and paled in comparison to UFC, WEC, IFL, and pre-Coker Bellator events. Some of them actually WERE amateur events because he always nickel and dimes the guys at the bottom of the card.

from my understanding, when coker turned sf into an mma org, he started with 4 fighters. over they years it grew and accumulated like 20m in debt.

ufc bought sf for something like 40-45m before moving to fox. if selling an org that was built from scratch for 40m is a failing, then i want to be a failure when i grow up.

please correct me if im wrong.

I like any fight org where fighters fight.

I don't bother with the promoters....Too busy to worry.
