Hats off to Khabib as he was tougher than I thought. However this fight boiled down to a simple tactical error by Conor and can't really be credited to Khabib's skill.

What I mean by that is that after defending practically every shot in round 3 (except one that he hoped right back up from), Conor made the mistake of thinking Khabib was too gassed to get him down again.

Until we get the USADA results back we simply won't know whether or not Khabib got a second wind after getting whooped in round 3 or if there was some sort of "enhancement".

Either way though, I have already run this fight back in my head 100 times. It was either headed towards a unanimous draw (see scorecard at bottom of post) or a late finish from Conor, but Khabib got a TD early in round 4.

That kind of luck for Khabib/miscalculation by Conor won't happen again, bet that up.

Kinda hard to get excited for a rematch considering it was pretty one sided. Put Conor in with a striker so we can get some fireworks.

Another thing to mention is that I thought Dillon Danis won that brief stand-up exchange with Khabib

The momentum had shifted before Conor's miscalculation

I'm not saying Conor can't win
If he hits him clean he can
But there was nothing in that fight that showed Conor wins rematch

yeah
i guess you forced me too.

i think round one will play out with
the irish guy being too quick and using great angles and landing good with the bear guy acting like he wants to stand and lurching for takedowns.
i think the irish guy wins the first but only 10-9

round 2 i see the bear boy landing more shots with his true goal too land takedowns and securing them midway thru the round, but the irish guy being able to restand .
i think itll make the irish guy alot more hesitant to strike as he tires.
10-9 bear guy

round 3
sees bear guy landing at will a minute in and securing takedowns off striking.
unlike rd 2 i think this is where he starts realy damaging the irish guy.
i think he keeps him down easily at this point with gnp
round might even be
10-8 bear guy
and close too a stoppage

round 4
its all over imo one way or the other.
the bear guy either grinds him out and gets a tko or makes the irish guy give up his back from halve gaurd and is choked out...
or the irish guy go balls out and gets drops the bear guy and finishes with a hammer fist tko.

im going to say
bear guy round 4 tko from strikes or choke sub within 3:00 of rnd 4

i dont see the irish guy winning but if he does itll be within 1:00 of the 4th round

say what????
bahahahaha
i broke this shit down for you last week.

I think his miscalculation is when he got caught with that punch. He did not look as sharp after that and the grappling wore him down too. It did look like he got a bit of a second wind in round 4 but got taken down and it was all over. I thought Conor did better than most in grappling Khabib he managed to take less damage then most when Khabib had him down and got back to his feet several times. I think he can win a rematch now that he knows what exactly he's up against.
