I know too many people who've been to prison to believe that.
Well, outside is not much better for him. In continuous conflict with the law. Better sit tight and thinks think over. It's not like they'd send him to federal prison right?

I've never been to Federal or State prison. My understanding though is that California State Prison is a lot worse than Federal prison.

First time I met him, was at a grappling tournament.
Second time I met him he was sniffing cocaine in the bleachers of a fight event.

So... yeah.

Prison ain't supposed to be fun, let's not forget. For some it may make 'm worse, and some people choose to better themselves after such an experience. Problems do not make the man, they reveal him, etc.

Our prisons are like gladiator schools. It's asking a lot of somebody to be a better person after going through that.

I get it. But it's that or society. Don't break the rules. Then again, the prison system does not help to make better citizens, it's not a remedy, but more a band aid. A shotty one at that.

Locks on a cell don't cure anything, they strangle.
I suppose we should let the criminals run free like gazelle's? They will probably see the error in thier ways and contribute to society in future

That wasn't the point I was making. Many people deserve to be locked up and out of society. I was saying that being in prison doesn't "fix" them. Some learn from their mistakes and make it out ok, but many go down a path of recidivism.

Former UFC fighter Jason Miller is once again in trouble with the law. But this time, he could wind up behind bars for a long time.

“Mayhem” Miller, 37, was arrested this past Friday and is being held without bail at the Orange County (Calif.) Sheriff jail facility, according to online jail records. He was arraigned today in Orange County Superior Court on a single count of felony vandalism causing damage of $400 or more, according to online court records.

Details of Miller’s alleged crime were not available at the time of this writing. But according to a report from City News Service (via NBC Los Angeles), a conviction could trigger an automatic state prison term.

Mayhem is the very definition of a "Habitual Line Stepper"

I have no more sympathy for him

Not sure there has ever been a more fitting nickname for a fighter. Now imagine if Wanderlei went out and.........oh never mind.

Gladiator school was probably a breeze compared to our prisons.....

If they are running around like gazelles do I get to shoot them?

Some people are born with different brains. Some people are raised in environments which change their brains. Some people make bad decisions which change their brains and make them different. Some people experience all of those factors. I have sympathy for all of those people, while still obviously not promoting or condoning the things that they do. Not many people choose to be scumbags. It's possible that nobody does. I hope Mayhem gets help.

True story?
100%.
Someone saw him, called the cops, they detained & "interviewed" him & let him go.

I was cornering one of our fighters at the event. This was pre Strikeforce/UFC, so imagine how long he's been fucked up.
