Is it ironic or just a weekend?Gus on the outside looking in
also Ironic is that Jones looks to be in handcuffs
You could take any group of elite fighters in a photo from history and say the same thing. Everyone loses eventually.
Jones, looking like he has accepted his fate....seemingly comfortable with the fact he is about to be driven into the desert for a dirt nap
Lol, well, there's always some exceptions to the rule.
At one point, when he was undefeated and on that streak, people were saying he was the MW GOAT or close to it. I never agreed, but yeah, people were definitely listing him as the 2nd, 3rd, or as I mentioned even in some cases 1st - MW of all time.Great thread. Would... You know the drill.
Not sure I agree they've fallen. Has anyone called Weidman one of the greats? The fact he best Andy isn't enough for me
I don’t know... when you go up against a prime Munoz (finish) and a prime Maia (lopsided-decision on short notice) you can’t really say someone caught a wave. Dude earned his shot, beat/ then defended against the goat (Silva), defended against a former champ (Machida), and defended against a HOFer (Belfort). Can’t really question the results. Proof is in the pudding.I think Weidman caught the perfect wave to the title. Fought some guys that weren’t all that great, then caught Anderson acting a fool, and then checked a kick that caused a freak injury. His striking has always left a little to be desired.
This thing, all things devours,"In the Jungle, when a king gets old, a young gorilla comes up and takes everything he owns..."
I was gonna say Gus is out there looking uncomfortable but you have to watch those ones they'll pull it out of the bag on you.Gus on the outside looking in
