It is hard for me to picture Conor moving over to a different camp with different coaches.
Me either

I think they are just in a little spat about last fights game plan

Sounds like Conor is questioning John's coaching and in return fire
John is now questioning Conor's desire and work ethic

Dis could get good...

Yep. And with these two i can't help but wonder if this is also them feeding the media. They are pretty savvy like that.

Whoa I just keyed in on something John said

Conor has TWO kids?

He has a wife and two kids now and I don’t want him taking more hits than he needs to. Khabib hit him with a punch in that fight that he has never been hit with in his career. And even Superman slows down at some stage,” Kavanagh said.

eddie alvarez called him out for a second child/from sidepiece during some pre fight clip
I think it is kinda known...John might be throwing shade though...they may have had a behind the scenes blow up or argument

I don't really think it's that much of a "falling out" at all.

Kav knows that Conor has made a truck load of cash and doesn't want to see him taking any damage if it's not something that is really interesting.

If he's going to fight Khabib, Diaz, GSP then he'd still be involved because those fights mean something. If Conor is just fighting a random guy in the top 10 then he'd rather not take part in it as he doesn't really want to see his friend get brain damage when there's really nothing to be gained from the fight.

I get it.

Sounds to me like this is it as well. John just wants his heart to be in it if he chooses to fight again.

Yes!

“I love the whole journey we’ve had but I’d need a good ‘why’,” he continued. “It might be [Nate] Diaz again because he promised that fight. It might be a rematch with Khabib. But if it was just: ‘Well, they want me to fight that guy’ I think I’d say, ‘I wish you the best.’”

could mean: Poirer fight is not significant enough. Give the Nate Diaz fight, please. I'm going to mention Khabib because it sounds badass but I know the UFC won't make that rematch anytime soon, anyway. Give us a break and we talk about fights in the future.

UFC publicly wanting to make the Poirer fight could mean: Take less money for the Nate Diaz fight, son, because we can also play stupid and offer you way shittier fights (pay-wise speaking) in the UFC, like Dustin P.

But I could of course be totally wrong.

If you listen to the Joe Rogan with Kav months ago he said that he was trying to get Conor to stop fighting a few fights ago as he has enough money and doesn't need to take any more head trauma.
