Outside of Dana White’s ever-present position as the face of the UFC, it’s hard to think of two people more ingrained in the company’s DNA than Joe Rogan and Bruce Buffer. The ‘Voice of the Octagon’ got his start with the promotion way back in the SEG days of 1996 at UFC 10. Rogan would hop on board just a year later – in the role of backstage reporter – at UFC 12: Judgement Day in Dothan, Alabama.

While Rogan left that position after only a couple of years, he ended up back working for the UFC in 2002 — this time under Zuffa, and in the role of play-by-play commentator. And although other familiar figures have come and gone over time, he has remained a…

I give the Chemtrail Warrior a lot of crap but you can’t deny the role he has played in the growth of MMA (UFC in particular).

We don’t always agree with what he says but the enthusiasm he brought was a key ingredient to the success of the UFC.

Rogan is a lock in the UFC Hall of Fame.

If the UFC's success was only based on one thing, it would be easier to recreate
A lot of things were aligned for UFC to become massive

PPV’s won’t be the same when Joe hangs it up. He’s the voice of the UFC in my opinion.

I pray for the day I don't need a foreign feed to be able to watch ufc without it on mute, so we can agree to disagree.

Rogan's great. I also liked Goldie and thought the pair of them brought some awesome energy to ppv nights. With that said, Goldie is barely an afterthought now and they UFC ppv's still have great energy, and the 3 man team they now have in place works very well.

Complain about perceived bias and bitch about him but m when he goes, you will miss him.

He’s the best and also says some funny things that are well timed.

No question he's the best at his role. He's not the reason the UFC grew. If anything Goldie's iconic phrases are better known.

I used to hate Mike Goldberg, now he's gone I realise I was wrong...

I am a big fan of Rogan. The day he leaves is a sad day for MMA play by play

Your favorite journalist Luke brought this up. Thought it was interesting

There really are a lot of people who only know the UFC through Joe Rogan (28:25 Mark)

I hope DC takes over whenever Rohan hangs it up. He’s fantastic in that role.
