Nah, dude got lit up. Got pushed to the floor and mauled. Another 10 seconds and he would still be getting beat up. I understand why he’s upset, had plans after the fight but to quote the homie
Lol. Always concentrate on the fight in front of you.
Still has his 135 belt and bet they close the 125 division anyways.

I don't think you can really complain about a stoppage being early if you keep getting dropped like my standards for women

going for a single leg on a Olympic medalist after being dropped and taking some ground n pound? kk.. maybe he should put on the weight and try the 145 division.. clearly he is too slow for the likes of mighty mouse and henry

Dana hired a hitman... tj has the most unlikely thing happen and he gets dropped and peppered up big time..I know it's natural for a guy to be upset but he did a lot of damage to his body and there's no way his recovery time from being hurt or chin is the same as it is at 135 either... Good win by cejudo..I wonder if this was the other way around if ppl would be on Henry's side like this? or would ppl be saying they saved henry more brain damage because he didn't stand a chance.. fans often get emotionally invested myself included, in a fighter and the outcome we can't but help picture and when the unthinkable happens its unacceptable... this is what happens when Dana is trying to pull some bs and it backfires... already started letting 25ers go and implying their division is done but wants to have a "super' fight in hopes of tj winning both belts and shutting it down.. there's no way tj cut and defended if he would've won.

in a champ vs champ match, you want it to be conclusive beyond reasonable doubt. not saying the winner gets to land a free shot on a dead opponent, but in a rocked-fighter tko judgement call, you'd hope the ref would give the losing fighter a properly decent chance of making a big comeback.

so i can see why TJ is upset, but on the other hand, it did look likely he would just eat more shots. tricky call, possibly just a shade early enough make make TJ feel justified. ref keeps his job though lol

btw am I allowed to laugh at TJ for crying, or is that not ok?

All the do gooders crying about fighter safety are the first to cry about an early stoppage when there guy loses.

The fight was stopped a little early. I understand why he’s upset, but he complained a little too much. The shit happens. If it would’ve been him on the other side he would say the stoppage was justified. I think T.J. will lose some fans if he doesn’t show a little more class after the loss. He ain’t getting a rematch at that weight. I understand he’s upset and what it means for his legacy, but he lost fair and square.

I could see it both ways. TJ wobbled 3 times before getting stopped. But Glover earlier in the same night was wobbled worse overall and came back to win.
Glover fuckin dropped from those hellbows.

He's a god damn warrior for coming back and he should've gotten a bonus for the heart and grit he showed but if the ref had stopped the fight after those elbows I wouldn't have complained.

I'm ok with the stoppage. Haven't rewatched it, but I thought I saw TJ's neck go completely limp at one point during that final series. We've all seen fighters come back from flash KO's so there is a possibility he could have rallied, but I'm not mad at the call.

early stoppage , had the fight continued a few seconds more then it would have been a different story.

Terrible stoppage
If the majority of fights ended that way I’d stop watching the “sport”
There was a time not long after the start of TUF that this was happening. I thought the sport was over with LnP being richly rewarded and fights being stopped because a guy lost his balance...

TJ's health and wellbeing were in no danger at the point of the stoppage, despite being rocked in the previous sequence. You have to give your fighters (let alone champions) an opportunity to fight through adversity until the point they are not able to defend themselves. This was not one of those situations. Henry might have finished TJ in the proceeding exchange, or TJ may have secured enough space to recover. We will never know. One thing is for sure, IMHO, TJ was not "finished" at the time of the stoppage. Not a robbery, but not a good stoppage, especially in a fight of that magnitude. As a big fan of TJ's I would like to see a rematch at 125, but as a MMA fan, I'm ready to accept this for what it is and let both divisions move on. Ugh.
