That's sad to hear, but I'm glad he'll be okay. He just beat Nelson the other day, it seems like. Of the holy trinity of him, Fedor, and Nog, he had the best end to his career.

He could never really put it together in the octagon as the New breed was coming and the changes from the ring really don't favor his style. But it didn't matter.
Hell of a career on top and didn't really fade out sadly...even with the skills diminished. Took appropriate fun fights that I was always happy to tune in and see.
I'd like to see more of these older guys just take their fun retirement fights in an exhibition type of way. I don't need them fighting for the belt. Just get some competition that keeps me excited.
