Everyone talks about 'if Rickson' or 'if Steve Jennum' or 'if Fred Ettish'...but what about the real King Of The Street and Backyard...what about Relson?

Would every jiu-jitsu school have a barbecue out back?

How many people would Relson have killed or maimed?

Would they have been able to find anyone to fight in UFC2?

Seriously.

Yes
All of Them
No

Fun Fact:
Helio used to keep notebooks full of notes on his sons and their development as fighters and as people.
He gave each of his kids an animal nickname which described their style of fighting.

Relson was The Shark. He went after everyone like they were his prey. Cold, Sharp, Ruthless.

He should fight George Foreman, the King of the Grill in a cook off.

Did whoever the hell this is ever fight MMA? Even Rickson Gracie was man enough to have fixed matches with bums where there was a small chance the guy would renege on the deal and actually fight.

And Rickson is probably the biggest coward in MMA history (remember mods 'fighter bashing' is reserved for actual fighters).

I always wondered why all the gyms run by Brazillians had BBQs out back. I thought they just acclimated themselves to KCs favorite past time.

they created MMA because Relson would have dominated any "No Rules" format.

Basically, any rules are artificial constraints and limit Relson's style.
this also applies to barbecuing.

Isn't it funny how often we here about Rorion, Rickson, and Royce; and how little we hear about Relson and Rolls?

I've met Relson a few times, great AND intense guy... I think that because he's one of the oldest of Helio's kids (and a great teacher to Rickson), by the time the UFC started, and Rickson did his fights in Japan, he was already up in age and passed the "let me be the family representative" guy (that fell on the kid brothers).

Rolls was already dead for about 15 years before UFC 1, and his stories were legend (he tuned Rickson up when they were younger).... It's our instructor's instructors who where the ones who told tales of him.... Guys who learned from the guys who taught the original "Dirty Dozen".... But sadly there aren't enough people who modernly trained with his "guys".

True story, there was this guy about 10 years ago (I was a purple belt at the time), that was claiming to be a black belt (he was a few years younger than me) who was telling people that he trained with Rolls Gracie..... I was like "does he mean Rolles Gracie?" and his students (he was teaching a few people supposedly) were like "no, he always corrects us on this, he said Rolls"...... This was an American guy who would have been like 3 when Rolls died..... That motherfucker got laughed out of town.
