A lot of potentially great match-ups at welterweight. How should things shake out from here?

Masvidal won't take that fight professionally . He's happy to fight him anywhere else, but if he's getting paid, he wants fights that put him somewhere. Jorge is the best fighter the world has never heard about.

OP, you have some decent fights listed there but Ponzinibbio-Till would be an utterly ridiculous matchup. You don't match up a guy on a 6-fight win streak whose KOd 2 out of his last 3 vs a guy coming off 2 consecutive brutal KOs. That's a terrible, lose-lose situation. Ponz gets next to nothing out of the win and Till's career might essentially be over with another KO.

With respect, you should think about castrating yourself so that no future children could have an idea as dumb as that.

I don't see the point in having Edwards and Ponz float around the bottom of the top 10 on 7-fight win streaks, when you've already got other lower-ranked guys like Zalescki Dos Santos and Vincte Luque building up similar win streaks vs even lower ranked opponents. No point creating an artificial log jam at the top with the old fighters on losing runs fighting eacher while the up and comers tread water. It's sink or swim time. Let's see them vs some elite grapplers.

What does a fight vs Masvidal do for Edwards? It leaves him the exact same spot with the same unanswered questions. Good win by Masvidal, but he's 1-2 in his last 3.

My fights are:

Woodley vs Ponz

Maia vs Edwards

RDA vs Masvidal

Lawler vs Vincente Luque

Till vs Magny

Askren v Thompson if Thompson wins. Otherwise, I think Askren has to fight Maia or possibly Ponz. He could take an RDA fight, but if he said No Thanks to a Lawler rematch, an RDA fight seems unlikely.

I wouldn't mind seeing Masvidal v Lawler...but Jorge should jump a lot higher than Leon, considering he showed chin and turned off Till's lights. Leon squeaked out an SD against Gunnar, he needs to beat Maia just to prove he belongs in the Top10, IMO.

I'd put him at a heavy underdog against anyone in OPs list.
