Think of a slingshot where the bands are taught not limp. Just enough to take any play out. That’s how a Glock is at rest. Certainly not enough to fire a projectile. When you pull the trigger back think of pulling the slingshot back. That’s how it works. When the trigger is pulled back far enough building a pre determined spring tension the sear can’t hold it and it releases the striker to make contact with the primer and boom it goes.
the ability of the striker to concuss the primer is not at issue. The only question is does the action of the slide elevate the cock of the G-Lock.

It does. Although it does not reach the maximum potential energy possible in the system, it does take kinetic energy from the slide and store that energy in the cock.

Therefore, actuating the slide on a G-Lock cocks the weapon.

It resets it. What’s a G-lock?

The internal striker on a Glock is cocked when the slide moves backward.
Thats why when you execute someone with glock after they dug the hole you dont press it on their head. If you push the slide back it wont fire. Hold it a inch or two from their head.

So ive heard

It stores energy. Nobody in the industry considers that cocking the striker.
oh...now it's the True Scotsman defense.

from a guy who didn't know what a cock was...at least, as it relates to firearms.
SME in the other definition, no doubt.

it's simple, there are two definitions of 'cock' that apply to firearms. The first is clearly applicable to a G-Lock, it can be cocked at any angle. Cocking a weapon in this manner would also fit the song lyrics. It is possible to cock/tilt a G-Lock.

In the other, the cock is raised. Not fully-raised. Not raised to sufficient energy to concuss the primer. Just raised. When the slide of a G-Lock is actuated, either manually or by the the extractor pushing rearward against the slide, the 'cock' is raised. The physical 'cock' (it's not a flintlock, so it's not called that - it's just part of the hammer) is mechanically raised. The 'cock' state of the pistol is raised from 'un-cocked' to 'cocked'.

You can cock a G-Lock.

I have made my points (correctly) over and over so to keep going back and forth when you are wrong is futile. Once again nobody in the industry calls it being cocked. It's not a 1911. Everyone understands that cocked means the hammer is held back ready to strike the firing pin. Anything else is disingenuous. Not to beat a dead horse but that wasn't even his original argument. He clearly had no understanding how it worked. You swept in on your white steed to rescue him. Now he is moving the goal posts to frame it as you are misstating it. I'm fine with you both being wrong but he is on another level.

by definition, the action is cocked by manual or autonomous movement of the slide.

you're quoting some undocumented definition and saying "everyone in the industry knows that cocked means something completely different"

lol, SME.

everybody knows that a G-Lock can cocked.
If a G-Lock is never cocked, how does it fire?

It's cocked by depressing the trigger only.

I think the only way to settle this is a muay Thai fight with glass knuckles like on kickboxer
