Speaking to MMAjunkie Radio ahead of next month’s highly anticipated PPV, Poirier, who submitted Holloway with a mounted triangle armbar back in 2012, said all it takes is for Holloway to make one mistake for him to capitalize with the perfect fight-finishing sequence.

Max is really dialed in right now, but he'll probably be at least a little gunshy since Poirier has a win over him. This should be a fun fight at 155.

Max can be slowed down if his opponent can turn it into less of a technical match and more of a toe-toe scrap. If Poirier can lure Max into that kind of fight from about mid-way into the fight then he'll get em.

Dustin is a beast. He knows the pain of a loss and I think he's ready. The trouble is Max is a beast too. Good fight

These two will bring out the best in each other. Both are fighters to their core - no quit in either. They have each grown tremendously since their first fight. Going to be a scrappy scrap.

I had a dream in which Dustin won, so I will of course put a bet on that.

Everything I dream has come true so far

Max is on another level, poirier hasn't even earned a title shot yet
Porier is 8-1-1 in his last 10. His last three fights were stoppage wins over three fomer champions. How is that run not worthy of a title shot?
