I think that guy killed the guy he tried to escape with because he got betrayed. Not sure if that was insanity or if he waited 3 years in solitary to stab that guy.
Well, you get the point.
It did lead to putting alcatraz on trial.
There was no motive according to the jury, but both guys spent 3 years in solitary.
I can see him festering in his own deluded thoughts just like a caged animal.
Btw, that dude jumped parole in '72 & could be 107 years old; he could be my neighbor!

OR YOURS...

Pretty much this. When a pit bull attacks a human the owner has done something very wrong. Most people aren't aware as to why pitbulls aren't used as apprehension dogs.
If this is the case, then all the folks who own pitbulls (because they can't legally carry guns, heh heh), and clammor from the outside that gun owners "should be required to complete gun safety courses", should be required to be certified dog handlers with extra certification for questionably dangerous breeds.

My gun sits in it's place.
Those mothersuckers are running about taking bites at whoever they feel like for whatever reason on a particular day.

It has nothing to do with anything I posted.
Yeah, it does.

You basically said *it's the owners not the dogs*

In case you didn't know, many ex-cons get pits by-in-large.
Same ex-cons advocate gun safety measures.
SO....what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I didn't say anything about ex-cons or firearm safety. It's a complete non-sequitur

I wasn't disagreeing with you, I was riding the back of your opinion, and adding my own regarding the hypocrisy of pit owners who defend their dogs/breeding skills yet advocate for gun safety regulations.
We cool?

Of course we're cool. I just didn't understand how your post dovetailed onto mine. More of a pivot than a segue.

Would you quit using big words with me?
I'm not a cabinetmaker or Latin, and I'm sick of googling in-between my google searches.

There is a park not far from our neighborhood that is one of the few leash-free dog parks around town. Lots of people take their pit bulls down there (and other big unruly dogs as well). I've see quite a few dogs attack other dogs there, and have also seen a couple people get bit down at this park. It is mostly shitty dog owners that have no control over their animals and haven't bothered to train them. And on top of that, they don't seem to accept any responsibility when something does happen. What bothers me the most is that the leash free area is directly next to a public playground. It's just a matter of time before a kid gets hurt badly, and I won't take my son down there to play if I see a bunch of dogs running around. The wild ass dogs I've seen down there have a tendency to bum-rush the playground and go all crazy. And of course the owners typically yell stuff like "LEAVE MY DOG ALONE, THIS IS LEASH FREE PARK!!!!", and I even heard one guy say "watch out!! he jumps and bites!!" LOL WTF DUDE. Sorry pal, but leash free isn't a license to let your dog be an asshole. If you can't control the dog, keep the fucker on a leash.

One of my neighbors got bit down at this park while walking, and I think that resulted in a pit being put down. The park is huge, they could easily fence off 2 or 3 square blocks for the "leash free" area and there will still be tons of space left for the other park activities. I guess chain link is too expensive....SMH

So you're proposing a ban on Golden Retrievers? Seems like you'be put a lot of careful thought into this subject and this definitely isn't some sort of knee-jerk reaction.
It's not a proposal.
I thought about trying to make it less vague but then decided, ah fuck it, that one asshole will get his panties in a knot about it. And on queue you have.

@blank will have to pry my golden retrievers from my cold dead hands
Yeah, obviously that would be an overreach but a few hunting dogs like presa canario; dogo argentino, or fila brasiliaro really don't beling in urban environments. It was just poor wording of a hypothetical.
