“If I’m getting paid something for three rounds, it’s easy to do the math,” he told reporters at a media day for Saturday’s event at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. “If I’m getting paid $100,000 (to show) and $100,000 (to win), that’s like $33,000 a round if I lose, $66,000 a round if I win. So I’d like to get paid ($132,000) more to fight for two extra rounds.”

“Not a lot of guys fight like me, so no, I’m not going to put them in the same category,” he said. “But if I do get seriously injured, it will be in the fourth or fifth round, whenever I’m extremely tired because of my output in the first two or three rounds.”

Justin Gaethje wants a per-round pay bump from the UFC

How long until Egg responds: "All right. You want it like that? Fine. You get KO'd in the 1st round then we're only paying you for one fuckin' round!"

I think they should get paid less the longer the fight goes unless it’s a “fight of the night”...

Eventhough it's for a noble cause, that's going nowhere with that crazy radical SJW Leslie Smith who everyone other than her own family couldn't care less about retweeting and promoting fake and gay liberal causes non-stop as the face of the movement. The other two notable fighters gay sjw ex-UFC fighter Kajan Johnson and Real Estate Agent "Ragin" Al Laquinta have already basically said "Bye Leslie"...

They can get together collectively and make changes

Doesn't have to be spear head.

But geez if they cant even sign an anonymous card to even find out what
their legal status is... How can they expect the fans to support them?

When are they gonna learn to stop cutting each others throats
and not speaking out until its a personal issue for them?

They don't stand together so Egg just keeps treating them however
he and WME wants

Couldn't agree more. Everytime something is started it turns into a dead duck. Same thing with PFA which came out swinging with lots of good names, then everyone starting taking poops on Bjorn Rebney even those same fighters that were riding the train with him. You can't make this shit up...

Yeah man the fans are ready to back them the moment they all stand up and demand
fair treatment and to be paid what they are worth

I know we on this forum were pushing hard for them when they were trying to organize

We wanted it more then they did. Now the fans are kinda tired of hearing it.

When they are ready to stand up for themselves we will be here

Till then...

Afaik, there is or was a flat rate bonus awarded for being the headliner. Maybe it's not big enough. And maybe you don't get it if you're in a 5-rounder as the co-main. Idk.

But yeah, sign the card if you have these issues.

It’s hard to stand up for themselves when food needs to be put on the table.... if everyone was on the same page and they roughed it out for a while — by not fighting, so not getting paid — until demands are met I guess they could make change

Again, UFC fighters cannot collectively organize because new rules set during the Trump administration set even firmer limits on independent contractors being allowed to organize or claim employee status. The administration controls the NLRB appointment process and its current incarnation is beholden to policies drawn up by the chamber of commerce. I've posted several articles about it on the board and I believe that's why Leslie tried to FOIA info on Dana's meeting with Trump.

Sadly the fighters are NOT in control of their destiny, but their fans are. If you believe fighters along with many other workers should be allowed to organize and unionize, VOTE TRUMP OUT NEXT NOVEMBER. Otherwise it's all smoke.

Trump fucking up people's rights to organize?

So they can't claim employee and unionize and a contractor
cant collectively bargain?

How is that even legal?

How is the NBA doling it then?

Damn thats messed up!... I can't vote Trump out though.

The democrats especially Obamas punk ass tried to kill my business

Fuck that

Dems cant stay out a niggas pocket man.

They think MY money is "their" money

Love watching Justin fight but he made zero “case” here. All he did was expose that UFC holds all the cards and he is fighting like a sucker...doing everything that BLAF wants without the return. Curtis Blayes and the lay-n-pray crew are laughing at this statement. The bosses may “want” you to fight like a Neanderthal, but if you aren’t going to be compensated for it, you might as well GSP that shit... do what you have to do to win without taking the damage.

They generally do get paid more.
5 rounders are for championships bouts and headlines, of which are normally paid extra.
