Bellator announced the fight on Friday. Mousasi and Lovato were supposed to fight in the co-main event of Bellator 214 in January, but a back injury forced Mousasi out of his second scheduled title defense of the 185-pound belt, and the fight was cancelled.

I love this fight, I'm a huge fan of Lovato Jr, one of my favorite BJJ heroes... But Mousasi is a stud, highly underrated.... Arguably the best MW in the world (I'd pick him over Whittaker, Gastelum, Adesanya, and I would favor him in a fight against Romero).

Lovato Jr is a smart fighter, and I feel once any clinch happens, he can get you to the ground where you'd be fucked against him.... I'd throw him right in the mix with those other guys, while his striking isn't on their level, it's damn good enough to get close to clinch, and even score knockdowns.

Can't wait for this fight.... I am actually looking forward to it more that the upcoming UFC Interim MW title fight.

Dude I remember the king mo fight where moose worked his ass from the bottom, he "lost" the fight and mo looked like a fucking alien and Gegard looked like he did some light jogging.

He should've got the win vs. him and Jardine.
Gerard should be universally recognized as the greatest middleweight of all-time.
And he has, as far as we know, done it clean.
His resume is nuts.
