Rory MacDonald’s coach believes his fighter’s upcoming opponent uses performance-enhancing drugs.

In an interview with DAZN, TriStar head coach Firas Zahabi called Jon Fitch, who challenges MacDonald for the welterweight title at Bellator 220 later this month, a “cheater” and a “coward.” Fitch, a former UFC fighter and WSOF champ, failed a drug test in late 2014 ahead of an unsuccessful title bid at WSOF 16.

“If he did it in 2015, here we are in 2019 and he has a title fight, of course he’s going to do it,” Zahabi said. “But we don’t have USADA or VADA testing in Bellator. We only have the testing the week of the fight, which is very easy to get around.

The real question is why on earth Bellator is promoting boring ass Fitch AT ALL let alone putting him in a title fight.

I do agree, but the current UFC Welterweight champion has a fight style that isn't that much different from Fitch's

As much as everyone trashes the UFC for "Stand and Wang" promotion they have a LOOOOOOOOONNNNGGGG history of backing boring ass fighters...

FYI: Marty has 10 UFC fights and only 2 non-decisions.............................. : (

This is a tournament fight. Every time Rory fights its a title fight, and the belt will follow the winner. So if Jon beats Rory, he has the belt and his next fight in the tournament would be a title fight against Neiman Gracie.

On the topic of steriods he did pop and was guilty but not an abuser.....I watched Fitch shrink in size(muscle mass etc) when he went vegan during the TRT era.

Man's a class act.....he juiced against Paul Hard ass? good.

I find it ironic they kicked him from the UFC because of his fight style yet traded DJ for Askren who fights the same way as Fitch.
