gotta go with Welterweight.

Seems pretty balanced of who can beat who. Especially since that's the average height and weight of guys there seems to be a lot of depth there always.
A lot of this. Fave is WW for that reason. LW and FW tied for second for the same reason. They're also the most talent rich divisions, and always will be, for the same reason.

For me, LHW gives us the best 'big dudes with skill' offering than any other division. I find the heavyweight division usually lacks the same talent level that we see at LHW, MW, WW and down, but with the HWs, you care because these are the biggest guys (and in a natural environment, these would be the ruling class among all fighters). But seeing so many HW bouts look sloppy, the fighters looking winded takes something away from that, and I feel LHW doesn't have, nor as it ever had, this problem.

WW has been consistently my favorite for similar reasons stated above. They have a great balance of technique and power and I can relate to their size IRL. Having said that some of my favorite fights to watch have been at HW. Remember UFC 146?

JDS vs Mir
Cain vs Bigfoot
Roy vs Dave Herman
Stipe vs Rosario
Strive vs Lavar

Not one of those fights went past the second round. Then think of Fedor, Cro Cop, Randleman, Bas, Hunt, Werdum, Cain, Carwin, Randy, Rizzo, Nog, Andre, Tank, Barnett......I could keep going but you get it. To say its just big plodding sloppiness isn't a fair assessment. I love the HWs!

Yep this was my point. Welterweight except for compelling HW fights among the guys who consistently bring it. I will always be interested in a Mitrione fight and his types at HW.

FW, LW and WW. I ended up picking WW

Also LOL @ the 1 vote for WBW. No need to check who that is

This is a tough one for me.
I voted HW, because of its history, not its present state.
LHW has been consistently fair since inception, and I've liked it more at times.
MW has been awesome too.
And most ww's could fight at MW......

My favorite division is the open weight tournament.

I toss up between LW and FW mainly because the top 10 in these divisions are almost black belts in everything.
Speed, technique and footwork seem to run rampant in these divisions.
I would say FlyW if they had more mighty mouses

Went with WW but LW, BW or FW could be in there too. 185 is better than ever also.

I think most men in top shape would weigh in around 145-155. WW these days is for guys who walk around 200lbs out of camp. like the dude in my gym who looks like a giant (but is not very tall) would be a ww.
This is true. The average US/Brazilian man is around 5'9.5" which is around average LW height. WW is around 5'11" and FW 5'8" so those are the next most stacked populations talent-wise.

WW is more marketable than FW though (as this poll attests) so the UFC hires many more WWs than FWs even though the gen pop is more or less evenly distributed between FW and WW.

My favouritism runs:

1. LW
2. WW
3. FW

For me that's where the best combinations of speed, power and agility are found. The guys who are most like real-life superheroes I guess.

Depends on who is fighting. Styles do it for me, not the class.

If this were true irl without dudes being bird chested or having their elevens saluting, I'd have a much more active vagina.

@danielstraus is a FW but with no fight booked he walks around at 180lbs. Fat bastard.
"top shape" I said and you excluded the upper end of the range I mentioned. slick...

I mean 10% bf with lean muscle conditioned for fighting not bodybuilding. a beast (like me).

Who voted lhw?

Apparently there are 2 other forum users that know what the fuck they are talking about.

Fact of the matter is jon jones is the best fighter in the world. He fights at 205. All other champs had to avoid 205 to get their belts

Oh its true

Good call, overall I prefer 145, 155, 170 to the terminally shallow LHW division, but there is no fighter on the planet I enjoy watching more than Jonny Bones.
