Prince was a jumped up little faggot and a shit guitarist.
I’m just speaking for myself and the end result what I hear in my ears through the speakers. I don’t know his life story or any of that. I just thought he made very bad niche satirical music. Prince had a couple of catchy tunes but not really my thing either.
I'm of the same opinion you are, as far as comparing them as guitarists. Like I was saying, I got this idea for a thread started when people were claiming, seriously claiming, that Prince was the GOAT on guitar. I chose Zappa to compare him to because it's so ludicrous to me. Proper 12 to Glenfiddich is correct, in my opinion.
He was halfway dead when he played this, soon to die from cancer, chemo running through his veins, barely able to stand and comprehend the situation.

He did, a lot of Zappas stuff was shit, definitely. Prince isn't my sound either, definitely recognise the talent alright.
