The trash talk between UFC HW prospects Arjan Singh Bhullar and Juan 'The Kraken' Adams is starting to dig deep, as they conduct fight week interviews ahead of their prelims matchup this Saturday at UFC Ottawa.

"There's never really been anything like me in this division. No natural, large heavyweight that's athletic the way I am ... On top of that, I win and I finish every fight. I haven't lost yet, amateur or pro ...
"I think [Bhullar's] overrated and I think he's been bluffing his wrestling game more so than what it is because you look at his wrestling collegiately ... He was NAIA, I put it on par with Division II wrestling maybe. I've been training with Josh Marshall, who is a national champion in NAIA so it's nothing that I haven't seen before ... When [Singh] went to the Olympics he placed 13th out of 19 wrestlers. I've never placed that low in a wrestling tournament. Maybe once in college, but since my sophomore year of college, I've never placed that low." Source: bit.ly/2GZ0WkY

"The fact of the matter is, [Adams] hasn't seen a national tournament. I understand he's part of a Div I program and thinks that's a big deal, but he hasn't been to a national tournament ... So for him to mention something about the Olympic Games, he has no right. He can't even scratch that. He doesn't know where that is ...
"For someone as green as him, from his first fight to fifth fight, there hasn't been too much progression. You would see bigger jumps. I think that's because he's not putting in the work. He's not in the gym as much as he should be. He loves to party and spend some of that money and chase girls." Source: bit.ly/2ZQkyPF

"We studied his wrestling, we studied his fights and when everything is going well, he's doing great and you have to give him that - he's had five fights and five finishes, which is great motivation to stay sharp and train hard. But when things aren't going well is when he breaks and folds up and heads home. That's why he wasn't a 'tier one' wrestler and that's why he won't be a 'tier one' fighter either ...
"He's still in the phase of doing this for money and partying and girls and fame and his weight balloons between fights, so weight cutting is his biggest issue, not getting better as a fighter. He's not professional in his approach and if you're not professional in your approach and preparation, you cannot be truly confident come fight night." Source: bit.ly/2ZSPuik
Double burn. Conor McGregor's mental warfare was powerful and effective because he always found ways to identify potential insecurities about opponents that were based at least a bit on some weakness, real or internally perceived. Although, he would then (sometimes wildly) exaggerate those weaknesses, since there was some underlying basis of truth, the smack dug DEEP.
Both fighters are doing exactly that here. Bhullar was bummy at the Olympics (nothing to be ashamed of!) and Adams does seem to eat and party a bit much for a pro athlete, at least per his social media persona. All of this makes for a fun matchup to look forward to on Saturday. Especially considering they are slobber-knocking heavyweights. Expect an early KTFO or both to gas hard trying and slop to a decision. - MagWar
