Alright guys latest breakdown vid... let's get into a discussion on a potential match up. Gaethje has a skillset that can make things very interesting against Khabib. I think Gaethje, and Ferguson have tools to give Khabib fits. More so Tony... but how do you see this fight going down if Gaethje and Nurmagomedov ever were to meet?

3 toughest match ups for Khabib in my opinion are Ortega, Tony, and Gaethje. I think Gaethji with his defensive wrestling would be the best choice

Forgot about Ortega... he can move up one day. Anyone who can actually WRASTLE lol... or that is a legit threat off of their back with great BJJ. Kron Gracie could be interesting also but he is so green right now! I can't think of all of Khabib's opponents off the top of my head, but I don't recall anyone being crafty or great off of their back.

Ferguson is a tricky MF. I like Ferg A LOT against Khabib. Plus he has that crazy cardio, unorthodox striking.

God I hope one of those three is next for Shish Khabib. All pose legit threats to take away his belt...

Feel so bad for Tony... bad breaks. He is a killer in the division and deserves that title shot.
I think his mental issues as of late may hold him from opportunity.
But man is he criminally (haha) deserving.

Good choices. I think Gaethje is the most difficult out of the three. Think he would stay on his feet enough to tear Khabib’s legs to shreds.

I'd give Gaethje the most chance to beat Khabib because of his defensive wrestling and leg kicks but that's only in a world where Khabib gets too cocky and start showboating or something.

but If Khabib stays focused, good luck throwing leg kicks or use defensive wrestling.

I think strikes matter on who you train with, preferably similar skill, size, and built as your opponent to get used to the range and all that jazz but when it comes to grappling, training with a heavier olympic level wrestlers is going to be super helpful and unless you're stronger, heavier, and more skillful than Khabib's training partners, good luck with that defensive wrestling.

maybe best bet for Gaethje is mix everything up early to make Khabib be concerned with all the arsenal Gaethje possesses and trick him, something like what Khabib did to Conor, had Conor worried about the TD so much that Conor dropped his guard and was caught with that over hand right or what Werdum did to Hunt, have him worry about TD and when he reacted, a knee to the face.

Gaethje could mix up leg kicks and attempt TDs early and when Khabib is not expecting, hard shot to the dome.

but more than anything, Tony Ferguson should be fighting Khabib, not DP or Gaethje, UFC (dana?) are freakin assholes to strip him of interim belt for injuries happened during stupid UFC media obligations Tony was trying to fulfill, it's not like Tony missed weight or some shit like that, Fuck them.

Gaethje's leg kicks are ridiculous Wild lol. It's funny how he developed such nasty leg kicks and his base is Wrestling.

Said this before damn feel terrible for the guy. The UFC did him wrong. He is 35 now, not like he has a million more years of prime fighting left. Really hope Tony comes back strong and gets a crack at that belt.

Gaethje was knocked out by Eddie and you want to talk about him vs Khabib?
This guy will get murdered in his next fight again.

Eddie is a former multiple time World champ, no shame in that. Out of his 20 fights he has 17 stoppages (Gaethje). Fighters are not blocks of wood non adaptable. You lose, you learn, train, grow and get better.

Just a fantasy fight talk. Plus styles make fights. The rank #8 guy can have something in his game to beat the #1 guy sometimes. That's MMA.

Khabib is an overweight wrestler with a tough chin and that's it. If someone can keep his hands off them for more than half a round, he's very beatable. Justin probably isn't careful enough to get it done though.
