Yeah, the problem is they are stuck to the social construct of not crossing certain lines. I'd be showing up as Bob Uecker basically, hammered and/or high, and making it fun. Probably with better ratings too.

PS: This is coming from a lifelong Royals fan.

The days of Mike Shannon and Harry Carey are over. No one can just relax and enjoy the train wreck that happened around the 6th inning.

Joe Nuxhall? Marty Bernnamen is a current HOF'er - this is his last season.

I'd rather listen to the radio than watch the game on TV - they are that good. When I watch the game, I always feel like I'm missing a golden Marty moment. Unfortunately they aren't synced so I can't watch TV and listen to the radio at the same time.

Because Marty's kid - Thom Brennamen, who does the TV broadcasts -is the most annoying human on earth.

I used to love listening to Harry Carey get all slurring drunk by the 7th inning and start talking about shit going on in the stands.

I'd love that fucking job. Slam a bunch of beers and talk about trucks crushing cars. And your audience is a bunch of hillbilly idiots and cum dumpster sluts, so if the action gets boring you can just get your kicks checking out the crowd.

NASCAR and F-1 both seem horrible too. For one you have to make up a bunch of crap to justify why these cars are driving around in circles for hours and for the other you have to do this tremendous build up for basically a blur.

The best I’ve ever heard was Phil rizzuto and bill white announcing and rizzuto said “he threw that circle jerk again”......laughter and then quiet for at least a minute where I think they covered the mic’s......
