for years, particularly since the demise of Pride, they’ve been selling the idea to casuals that the UFC is the Super Bowl of MMA, but we hardcore fans know that the highest-level fights often take place at local events, and this video is indisputable proof
You know where Dana and Company got that idea of UFC being the”Super Bowl of MMA”?

He took the idea from Vince McMahon who once said he wanted to make his Wrestlemania the Super Bowl of professional wrestling / Sports Entertainment.

That’s the issue with Dana White and Company, they are emulators - always copying, they lack “Creativity”.

That is why we see rematch after rematch because they can not think of new innovative ideas to freshin up their brand or creative ways to match up their fighters and build up their divisions.

Hilarious but I've never understood why promoters make the mistake of setting up their guys to fight cans who look like complete cans. You can find plenty of bums out there that look mildly athletic. The entire point is to trick the clueless portion of he audience into thinking your guy is badass, and you can't do that by having him beat on a guy you plucked from a Comic Con.

can't find any record other than a guy who fought at 170 9 years ago

is this a blown up(aka fat) welterweight with 90 lbs of rust on him?
I don't think so because that first video was 2009 and the video in this message was 2015. A friend of mine was at the event in 2015 and called me afterwards telling me about a heavyweight that dropped his opponent with a punch that looked like he held his arm out straight and then ran at the guy and next thing he knew dude was face down verbally tapping out to pitter patter punches. He texted me after seeing the announcement saying that's the guy. So awesome.

Jack Swagger is fighting spanky from the Little Rascals in Bellator and somehow this conversation became about the UFC being ran by bad promoters.
