LOL Where is the asshole of BC?? I know the province well, been everywhere. I used to live in PG. Is that the asshole?? lolol

I'm in Ontario. I came here to do something with my life, because if I had stayed in BC I would have just been a snowboard bum or Island stoner.
But every time I go back to the Island I wonder what I'm doing here. Its so beautiful there, my Dad and brother live in Victoria.
Bingo again. PG representing. What years did you live there?

sonofabitch, small world.

I was there 87 - 93. Highschool. never went back, lolol

I liked some stuff. Powder King was choice. Some outdoor spots were great in the summer but I really didn't dig the culture or lifestyle at all. Really claustrophobic, too many cavemen.

Those are some nice beach shots. Is there anywhere else in the world where the tide goes so far out?? I love it. You're makin me homesick bruh

86 - 01. I go back a couple times a year to visit family. Usually once in the summer and once in the winter during the holidays. I remember bringing the wifey up there for her first time many years ago. As soon as we came up the hill entering into Quesnel from the south, the lil lady asked what the stink was, I told her that was the smell of home.

From those years, looks like you did high school a couple years before me. Powder King is amazing. I had a few buddies who worked a few seasons out there. With every cheque, they would get a guest pass. I would show up every weekend with grass and booze and I would get a free 'room' in one of those shitty trailers and get to snowboard for free all weekend. Bush runs at PK was my thing.

What are the odds they may have actually fought each other once or twice
Twice, once behind the Roller Dome and the second time outside the Generator when you stepped on my shoes in the Wiener King line.

Remember the sandblast? I was telling a buddy about it the other day. I was back up there the summer of that last event when shit hit the fan.

Well, this is a trip.

I had my own trailer at Powder King the Winter of 93. Right next to those leaky Atco Trailers but off in the trees. Used to party at Azu with the staff at their bunks. It really is a secret treasure of the world.

I actually did that a few times, we had a big long/wide crappy snowboard and would carve down that gravelly shit, lol

What highschool did you go to? Tempting to see if we have any common roots/6 degrees of separation.

Getting back on thread topic, PG had some good outdoors. We used to camp up at the top of Fang Mountain, tubing down the Willow or Salmon River, jumping the cliff at the Rock Quarry etc. Lots of outdoor appreciation to make up for the complete lack of an evolved society.

PS: RollerDome was for fags, lol Our fighting was done were behind the Truck scales in the Hart

I'm guessing you were from the bowl. A little more civilized down there.

Well the chances of that STD have increased.

PGSS.

Never been to Fang Mountain but there was this sweet spot of Raven Mountain that had a backpackers/snowmobilers cabin you could hike into and stay at for free. Gamble was it could be empty or it could be full of strangers. Salmon River and the rock quarry where both great spots. Growing up in the 'bowl', until we got our licenses we used to just swim in the Fraser and Nechako. Used to float down the river from foothills bridge to the Pacific Western Brewery at the bottom on the Hart hill. Get out at the brewery and steal beers from the warehouse and trucks. We would get drunk under the bridge there and then walk back into town lol little skids in those days.

Ha ha I was trying to think of a classic PG spot from a couple different eras of ones life.

Wilson Park and Ottway were hot spots for set up fights when I was in school there.

I went to Kelly Road.

We should fight.
Hart boys were bitches. Fight me. Just kidding. My best friend to this day still lives in the hart, just south of the ski hill. Actually, most my fighting was done with the native kids. For some reason, every house or pit party some native kid would show up and want to fight me.

I lived real close to the ski hill. Behind my house there was a gully, I used to walk all the way down, across some farmer's field and end up at the base of the ski hill.

The last day of school my friend crashed us into it in his car, lol he was driving too fast for the curve and we caught some gravel and went off the road. Rolled it twice right at the base of the hill. I was shotgun

Its true what you said about fighting and natives. Up in the Hart most of the kids were bussed out from Nukko Lake etc, so lots of natives (First Nations, whatever) there, dirt poor and yes they liked to fight etc. It terrified me to be honest, I had previously spent my childhood on the Island and in a suburb of Vancouver, and there was nothing like that I never saw a single real fight. As soon as I moved to PG however there were bloody scraps on gravel parking lots regularly, friends losing teeth etc lol. We got jumped several times for no reason just our night to get called out. Our school however had all the scariest dudes at the time, all the most feared fighters were from the Hart, felt good to be on their good side :D

What a retarded town. Hope it got better.

You Know Rory MacDonald is from Quesnel, right?

Explains a lot actually, I bet he was a nice kid who had to deal with a lot of fighting around him.

Crazy, I spent a lot of my childhood in that area with my buddies family. Grant Road. The end of the road used to be a bunch of swamps where we would catch frogs and smoke stolen cigarettes, now its all developed.

As for the scraps, that sounds like PG. I respect my adolescence there, it toughened me up. Going from there to the Island was a cake walk.

For the last 2 years a couple of doves were always hanging out on the wire in front of my house. Early this spring I found a dead dove while mowing, and now I always see this dude just hanging by himself.

I feel bad for him. It's been a few weeks now. I'd tell him to move on because she ain't coming back, but I don't speak dove.

Finally getting my nature on, bros.
Heading to the Appalachians tomorrow AM. After a 4 hour drive, I don't plan on touching concrete until Sunday afternoon.
