Daniel Cormier said after winning the UFC light heavyweight title over Anthony Johnson four months ago that he would be fine if Jon Jonesnever came back and tried to regain the belt. Cormier seems to have changed his tune a bit now.

"Obviously, I need [Jones]," Cormier said Friday at the Go Big press conference. "As I move forward, in this fight in October and I face Alexander [Gustafsson], I need that guy. I need that guy to get back in here and fight me again. For my journey to be complete and for me to be complete as I finish this sport, I need him. And honestly, I wish him all the best so that he can actually get back and I can stop playing around with these guys and get back to business."

Dan is a bit optimistic with his stupid strut after he won a mini version of the belt like he just defeated Jones.....Jon is going to unleash one of the worst beatings ever when he comes back. Dan won't be able to cry this time because Jon is going to knock him out cold and he will be unconscious until he wakes up in the emergency room

I like Cormier less every time he speaks.

I think he is a talented wrestler, but not nearly as good a MMA fighter as he seems to believe. Also, he's at an age where his physical decline is inevitable. He wants Jones not because he can beat JJ, but because he knows that's his best chance for a big payday.
