Dietrich hit another one last night. He has hit a HR in 10.9% of his ABs, which ranks him 3rd in the NL behind only Christian Yelich (13.7%) and Cody Bellinger (11.9%)
Dietrich's career HR per AB percentage is 3.4% - I'd anticipate a drift to the mean as the season wears on.
Another 2 HRs so far today. It sounds like the Reds are calling up their top prospect Nick Senzel and starting him tonight. He was drafted as an infielder, but the Reds don't have an opening there. They played him at CF during spring training and in the few games he has played this season in the minors (He was injured at the end of spring training with a sprained ankle).
Contact hitter with decent power. He was the #2 overall pick in the 2016 draft. He doesn't have the fanfare of Vlad Jr, but he's a young stud that will hopefully be in the league for a long time.
He went into a little slump and didn't hit HRs in his next 3 ABs.Another 2 HRs so far today.
You guys are all on notice. Dude is legit.
3 HRs in 14 ABs.
That guy is a stud. He hits the ball a ton.It sounds like the Reds are calling up their top prospect Nick Senzel and starting him tonight. Pineda will finally dial everything in and look fantastic for a couple of starts and then he'll end up on the DL.Pineda does better in warm weather

Hell of a catch.
People are saying they might get signed after the draft. If someone picked them up they'd lose a pick or something like that. I don't understand how it works too much.Wait,
Houston keuchel and Craig Kimbral are still sitting unsigned?
He's pretty good.Since May 16, 2018 Christian Yellich stats:
Games: 156
Average: .336
Homers: 51
RBI: 135
Slugging: .669
Hey Frank, I'm actually glad you posted this as I wasn't aware of the kid until now. I lost my love for baseball after the Jays made a long overdue run at it again a few years ago, only to let our General Manager Alex Anthopoulos walk at the end of the season. The guy was doing a great job, but the new president wanted to reign him in and diminish his power for some fucked up reason, and the team has gone to shit since then. Now, coincidentally enough the Canadian born Anthopoulos is with Atlanta and you're telling me about the hot shot young Canadian pitcher who is doing good shit for the Braves, and again I am reminded how the Jays can suck a bag of dicks for letting him go. I wanted desperately to start getting excited when they brought Guererro Jr up to the bigs last month, but a slow start tempered my enthusiasm a bit. However, he does have 3 HR's now, and he will be fun to watch for a few years.Yo @sgotwalks, Canada can be proud of that Soroka kid pitching for the Braves. 21 years old, 6 starts, 4-1 record, 0.98ERA. He's leading the league in beaning hitters too with 6HBP's .
Edit- I thought he was from BC, but he's from Calgary Alberta...whatever haha
I just saw this on MLB Central and will always sing his name now lol.Hey Frank, I'm actually glad you posted this as I wasn't aware of the kid until now. Thanks for the heads up Frank. I'll start paying some attention to Mike Soroka now. Funny, I was hanging out in Calgary quite a bit the year he was born there (1997). Damn, the years fly by..........and this kid is throwing heat in the major leagues now!
