I'm pretty sure my coworker actually ran thru the test they are gonna do on another vehicle and made sure it all works too, so there's no actual hitches

I never even graduated highschool. I bet you think you’re better then me, don’t you, kneeblock @Nigel
Yeh but what's more fun,

Reading books?

Or being an alcoholic with a drug and whore problem?

If I win the lottery I know what I'm picking.

I’ve never even drank a beer or touched a woman

i just finished my MSEE.

Did my undergrad working 12 hr night shifts in a factory and going to school full-time during the day, took about 6 years, finished when I was 33
Went back for my MS when I was 39...working full-time in R&D, and with 3 kids under the age of 5.

I guess what I'm saying to kneeblock @Nigel is

:D

I feel you. I worked full time during my undergrad and also had 2 kids, but in a way that was more motivating if that makes sense. School was kind of like a permissable escape from the long workdays. Now I'll hopefully never punch a clock ever again.

Why don’t you people have fewer children? Meaning Californians.

Is this the most “winner” rated post in TMMAC history? Splinty @Splinty find out. Wild @Wild can you find out things?

This says a lot about kneeblock @Nigel; it shows how beloved he is, despite being a commie POS. Well done you fucking pinko.

Didn't do Rick's assessment. My coworker decided to fuck the assessor off because we didn't have much to do and it wasn't suffice for the criteria he needed.

Great thread man. Obvs read it before, but its always great to read again and again.

I've had a similar week myself. I interviewed for a job in my field (I'm a tax accountant) 2 weeks ago and got offered the job a few days later. Was meant to start Tuesday week, but said I was happy to come in and do some preliminary things beforehand if he wanted. He said if I could come in on Friday (yesterday) he'll get all the staff in for a lunch/meet and greet and a few other induction things.

I went in and all went well. I said I was all good to start Tuesday week as discussed, but was happy to come in again beforehand if they thought it necessary. Boss just emailed me and asked if I could start this Tuesday instead. He and his right hand man are going away for a seminar in a few days and he thinks I can help boost the front line while they're gone (dunno why Im talking army speak, Ive never come close to being in the forces hahahaha). Its humbling and obviously I made a good impression.

Its a contrast from even a year and a bit ago where my confidence was at an all time low. I'm older now and I feel like I can be a lot more humble with these opportunities and not piss them away or have an overly inflated ego. Something just feels like - finally - all of the different jigsaws in my life are coming together. I know it can all be taken away quick, but I hope to make the most of it while I can.

Go us, bro!

Awesome! Definitely make the most of it. Read this yesterday and usually don't go in for affirmations because they're trash and life is unpredictable, but this one resonated.

Glad to hear man. I remember a year or so back when u wasn't feeling too great, I knew it would come together given time.

When you start your new job you should smack your boss over the head with a pool ball in a sock, make sure it's in front of as many staff as possible, it will help assert dominance.
