My daughter(16) was just hit head-on highway.
Other vehicle had 6 occupants.
At the hospital now, she's stable in x-ray with a busted nose eye & head.
Non-life threatening thank God.
She called me crying blood-soaked thought it was her last phone call.
I don't wish that call on anyone.
Her bf was driving & is the only one unharmed.
Other 7 including daughter rushed to hospital.
Hey, it's Sunday. Give God a little shout-out for everyone involved please.
I don't think the others faired well...
None were wearing seatbelts.
All I know is was a Mexican family of six, male drivers, lotsa girls & women injured.

16 years old. It was time for a nose-job anyways. Make sure she gets a good plastic surgeon.

Glad she wasn't injured as bad as it could have been.

I've lost a few family members to car accidents.

Scary stuff.

Hope she heals up quicky.

God Bless sparkuri @sparkuri

Yep, we'll see them next week.

Thanks guys, we were very , very lucky.
Praying for these grieving family members of the other family in the lobby.
It's bad.
And of course, they had no insurance.

Glad to hear she hasn't suffered any serious injuries. I hope it stays that way and that she makes a full recovery. As someone who until recently made all their income from driving, I know it can be a jungle out there.

Hey OP it's 50/50 and you can't go wrong either way but an ENT can also take care of her nose. If you go the plastics route make sure you find one that does rhino's. Some specialize in boobs or other parts. ENT's do noses but some can also specialize in say mostly ears or throat issues. Just giving you a little heads up.

It's also important to be an education snob. Take a look where they trained. Ask to see before and after pics of their work.

sparkuri @sparkuri - glad to hear your daughter's OK. My oldest is just about to turn 6, I hope by the time she's 16 every car is autonomous and these tragedies never happen. Is that the car she was in?

One of the 'strange outcomes' of mandatory insurance is that people who don't need it have it, and a lot of people who need it can't afford it. Really hope the other family is able to pull themselves back together and come out OK on the other side.

How did it happen (if you don't mind me asking)?

Excuse the laziness.

Totally on regarding insurance.
As a youngin' I felt it was my RIGHT to drive w/o insurance.
"I gotta do what I gotta do".
I'm sure I was ticketed at least 10 times for no insurance & DWLS.

"IF I CAN'T PAY FOR INSURANCE, HOW DO THEY EXPECT ME TO PAY $500 FOR THIS TICKET????"

Short answer is they don't.

'
They', expect me to walk, until I've earned the money to pay for it, like, be an adult.

Ironically we just got back from my other daughter's driving test, which she failed miserably; and of course being mom & dad for 15 years, I get an earful for relaying to her the exact information(flaws)the instructor just told her.
And of course after $500. and $50, and $50, & $17, & $35, I get to pay at least another $50, another $50, then another $20 for "instructor warm-up", retake, & license.
But I've had it.
My mercy extends so far.
Rather than getting yelled at by my teens for life being unfair, they can get a job & pay for their mistakes themselves.
It's how we learn.

Thank you everyone, she was 2' from a critical situation.
