While the UFC may still be the most prominent mixed martial arts promotion company in the world today, Bellator FC comes in second. Over the recent years, in fact, a handful of former UFC champions and marquee names have crossed over to Bellator.

There are also talks about possible cross-promotion matchups. Two-division Bellator champion Ryan Bader, for one, wants a fight against UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, while featherweight and lightweight Bellator champion Patricio Freire wants a piece of UFC 145-pound champion Max Holloway.

Such matchups may only be possible through a video game for now, but Bellator CEO Scott Coker says he is open to doing a cross-promotion with the UFC.

Dana's never going to give Bellator any shine by cross promoting, or having any of his fighters lose.

Dana would never let anyone be in a position to make the ufc look like it is second class

I would be open to cross-promoting my soccer team against Real Madrid but that doesn't mean that it makes sense for them to do it.

If Dana wanted to keep bellators roster he would have created a seniors division and never let them go

Pretty sure the UFC isn't going to cross-promote just to get extra ticket vendors

I should also say that I'd love to see a free for all where the top guys in the world could all fight against each other... But it rarely works in boxing so I'm not inclined to believe that it would ever truly work in MMA.

But Archuleta, DJ, Gooch vs Cejudo, Cruz, Dillashaw, Aljo, Yan etc... That's pretty dope.
Patricio and AJ vs Max, Aldo, Volk, Ortega, Zabit
Chandler and Patricio/Patricky against the madness of Gaethje, Ferg, Khabib, Conor, Cowboy, Raging Al, Barbosa
Rory ( I guess) but Lima in with Robbie, Usman, Askren rematch, Masvidal, Dos Anjos
Mousasi against Bobby Knuckles, Stylebender, Yoel, Costa, Hermansson

I don't really give a damn about heavy and light heavy because Bader gets mauled by Bones and DC but I guess if you combined the divisions then you would almost have some compelling matches.

But yeah... It really doesn't make sense for the UFC to do it. Not while competing for the same eyeballs. I could almost see them working with OneFC since at this point the US market isn't a big thing for them but not another big player in the US market.
