This is pretty cool. They're both mic'd up along with their caddies.

I can't believe how hard that green is on 7. Like concrete. No idea how these guys are getting it to stick.

Everyone is going in hot on 7 and trying to back it up. But the first bounce is like 16 feet and they can't bring it back to the hole.

I haven't seen anyone elevate the ball and try to bring the ball straight down, or at least at an angle closer to 90.

Elevated boxes are always a pain in the ass, but 7 is definitely fucking with these guys today.

Apparently, TPC River Highlands is easy... 6 players T1 after round 1. All shooting a 64.

Shot another personal low today. Still letting small mistakes blow up the score though. That's more a mental thing on my part. Have been working on accuracy off the tee with everything down to the 5I and that helped a lot, with 50% of the fairways hit today.

Also worked on getting more rotation in my swing and have increased my speed significantly. Was hitting my 5I off the ground to a 220 marker on the range before we played. A guy next to us actually walked over and got the distance with his range finder and still couldn't believe it. I drove #17 to within 20 yards of the pin lol. My next focus is going to strictly be putting and contact with the irons because I feel I could easily break 90 with little effort if I didn't have the problem of mishitting the irons and then missing easy putts. Playing partners said they'd get me lessons because they think I could actually be pretty damn good. I think they're crazy because today was literally only my 4th round ever, but I will see.

Putter and wedges. Putter and wedges.

If you can play those then rest of the game is easy.

Funniest thing is I've been working my new SW a lot and even flopped in three on the practice green before the round. My putts have been on line, I just need to learn distance. I do have a new Odyssey putter that I need to get some reps in with. It's just that when anything happens on the hole, I can't clear my head and the rest of the hole is ruined. I literally missed a 3ft putt for birdie on one hole....3 fucking feet

Joined the Push Cart Mafia today... Now that I'll save roughly $300 a year on pull cart fees and roughly $1300 in cart fees, I'll probably be golfing a few times a week.

I took a three year hiatus due to work and have since come back and am surprised at how right everything is, I’m playing off around +20 to +25 which I’m fairly happy with considering - one problem I have that I can’t find the answer to, is, I’m hitting my driver too high ? Any ideas guys ?

I’m hitting around 220-245 straight or slightly off left but if I could get the trajectory right, I’ll be gaining a good 30yds at least, it’s as high as a wedge at times !
