For fuck's sake. The Yankees just got Edwin Encarnacion. Currently leading the AL in HR with 21.

When Judge and Stanton come back, which is happening very soon, that lineup is fucking lethal.

Encarnacion might be the most underrated power hitter of this era.

He has a total of 401 HRs, and he's hit 32 or more dingers the last 7 seasons.

2012 - 42
2013 - 36
2014 - 34
2015 - 39
2016 - 42
2017 - 38
2018 - 32

Since 2012, nobody has hit more HRs than Edwin Encarnacion.

There are 13 players with 200 or more HRs in that time:

  1. Edwin Encarnacion (284)
  2. Nelson Cruz (267)
  3. Mike Trout (255)
  4. Giancarlo Stanton (249)
  5. Chris Davis (244)
  6. Paul Goldschmidt (214)
  7. Anthony Rizzo (209)
  8. Khris Davis (208)
  9. J.D. Martinez (205)
  10. Jay Bruce (205)
  11. Adam Jones (204)
  12. Nolan Arenado (203)
  13. Albert Pujols (200)

Look at his declining numbers, its only a matter of time before he gets busted for being on the gear and Seattle has the last laugh.

He's 36. Probably only has a year or two left, but his consistency has been impressive.
If he played in NY or Boston instead of Toronto he would be one of the most well-known players in the game.

I was shocked at when they said he had 400. I knew he was a good player but not that consistent

Fuck.

As much as I would hate to be a batter going against Scherzer I would hate to be a pitcher going against Lemaheiu, Voit, Sanchez, Stanton, Encarnacion, Gleyber, Didi... Hicks had the night off and Judge is back tomorrow. So toss them in anywhere you'd like and that's hell.

Sanchez and Edwin both went deep tonight. Torres hit his 17th.

So...

The Tampa Bay Montreal Expo Rays?

What to do with a team that plays in a city that doesn't support them? Split your home games with another city that doesn't give a shit about baseball.

That's just stupid enough to work.

Nothing like moving to another city that doesn't support their team.

I knew the Twins would probably have a good lineup this off-season. But I didn't think they'd be this good. The season is far from over and it looks like Cleveland is getting their shit together. It's been really fun to follow the club this season. I hope they can sustain this success over the coming months. They've had hot starts before but not like this. 50-26 is the best I've seen in my lifetime I think.

J.A. Happ is pitching like an asshole again today so Aaron Boone does what every great manager would do and let's him stay in the game after giving up a grand slam and being down 6-0. Because why pull him at that point when you can wait until he has you down 8-0.

Aaron Boone is such a trash manager. I do not understand how or why he keeps letting Jonathan Holder touch the ball.

That kid needs to be sent down or taken out back and shot. He has zero confidence in his pitches and constantly gets lit up. He needs to go back to the minors and work out the bugs if he's ever going to be successful in the pros.

But Boone needs an ass whipping for his terrible terrible judgement.
