It looks like the UFC has some decisions to make with two of their titles sometime soon. Henry Cejudo, who claimed a second UFC belt by stopping Marlon Moraes at UFC 238, underwent shoulder surgery today and he’s not going to be back for a while.

According to ESPN, Cejudo needed surgery on the subscapularis muscle, which is the busiest muscle in the shoulder. The prognosis says that he’ll be back to training in four to five months. That’s late October to late November, so early 2020 seems like a logical return time to the Octagon, barring any setbacks.

It was noted that Cejudo suffered a leg injury just prior to the Moraes fight as well. But he won’t need surgery on that.

Well that should kill all of the momentum he had going. He could've gone up to 145 after a couple of wins but that's not likely anymore if he sits out for a year

Eh, I've had a sprained ankle that looked even way worse than Cejudo's.

What are the chances he has a post-surgery complication that leaves him unable to speak again? I wish him a speedy recovery otherwise.
