The risk of breaking your hands is literally one of the main points of bare knuckle boxing. It's kind of implied in the title.
Claiming you lost a bare knuckle boxing match only because you broke your hand is like claiming you only lost the 100m sprint because you didn't run very fast.
My honest assumption was that this thread was going to be about Paulie’s lack of technical prowess against an opponent not known for his boxing. The fact that that even was my first reaction proves what a shit showing he had on Saturday.

I broke the shit out of knuckle in a street fight once, and I fractured a knuckle in the first round a a six round boxing match another time. The one in the street fight luckily ended the fight because my hand was fucked up bigly. I wouldn’t have been able to do anything with it.
Broke a few bones in my hands more than once. Never both at the same time though, thats gotta be a fucker.
Having an argument with an ex, stormed off and hit a wall a full force punch was probably the worst damage I did to my hand. Worse than anything in boxing .
