Never - NEVER discourage women from losing weight. Who the fuck does this guy think he is?Aspen Ladd was extremely dehydrated and weak at the weigh-ins. She was shaking and wincing in pain (looked like muscle cramps).
Can we please end weight cutting for fuck’s sake? WTF.

Right?Never - NEVER discourage women from losing weight. Who the fuck does this guy think he is?
lol wut? people are more likely to miss weight when they can't weight cut?As a fan I agree with these but as a promoter I think there's too many risks having fights collapse.
@blank and I were talking about same day weigh ins and what happens if you don't make weight. Much like @Ricky Bobby and @Sex Chicken I never wrestled in HS so I'm not sure what they do or the comparison you're making.lol wut? people are more likely to miss weight when they can't weight cut?
HS wrestling figured this out 30 years ago, it's not rocket surgery.
they take your weight at the start of the season (or camp, for example in UFC) at a minimum hydration level. Then you're allowed to lose 1.5% of your body weight every week, as long as you make the weight at the minimum hydration level and your body fat stays above 7% (men) or 12%(women).@blank and I were talking about same day weigh ins and what happens if you don't make weight. Or to quickly move the contest to another state if a main event fighter pisses hot.But that's why we have athletic commissions - to step in and put a stop to this when it's clear that a fighter is not healthy 24 hours before a fight
I like this. Weekly benchmarks you have to meet, in training camp. Say a fighter misses their weight target 3 weeks before camp, it would give promoters more time to find replacements.they take your weight at the start of the season (or camp, for example in UFC) at a minimum hydration level. Fewer people would miss weight, and if someone did for some reason, the eligible pool of fighters is everyone who's within 1.5% of fighting weight. So there would be real incentives to being on-weight all the time for guys looking to break-in on a short notice fight, and everyone is fighting at their peak level, with maximum brain-cushioning.
Good for the fighters, good for the fans, good for the sport. Nobody in HS Wrestling is trying to turn the rules back.
I'm shocked that a woman named Aspen also has a bunch of dogs.
She could lose another 10 lbs and I would be complaining.Right?
I was actually pretty shocked to find out she is a woman because I had thought she is a lad from AspenI'm shocked that a woman named Aspen also has a bunch of dogs.
Reminds me of the movie Whiplash. The agony of being the best in the world at something nobody cares or knows anything about. It’s good for the sport to watch a chick starve and dehydrate herself for zero benefit to anyone involved with the sport
No one watches their fights anyway, lol
Especially the California Athletic Commision. I thought they were doing hydration tests these days? That is just beyond fucked up. How in the fuck any athletic commission could allow this is beyond my understanding
