Bellator CEO Scott Coker recently broached the idea of cross-promoting with the UFC. While it likely won’t happen just yet, he says he is now in discussions with Japanese promotion Rizin for a possible venture later in the year.

“There’s nothing confirmed,” Coker said Monday on the Ariel Helwani MMA Show. “As people already know, we’ve been talking to Sakakibara about doing some type of event together. We haven’t decided if it’s going to be a ‘co-pro,’ fight sharing, a Bellator event by itself.

“But I’d love nothing more than to be in Japan sometime in December throwing a big fight there at Saitama Super Arena, where all the big…

Rizin and Bellator’s willingness to cross promote is going to make things fun for MMA fans, especially as both continue to bolster their rosters.

Let Fedor rest.

He has earned it.

Japans willingness to send their hero's out to die for their entertainment baffles me.

Let him have his final walk to the ring with a standing ovation, followed by an insane video recap of his dominance, immediately after the video everyone in attendance deeply bows to him as he slightly smirks and walks out of the ring into retirement.

It's still great to see them respecting their fallen hero more than someone who just beats complete cans and calls it a career though. Asian fans seem to better than that ''Fighter X was never that good/my friend'' bullshit

Waste of money.

Watching Fedor fight these days should be illegal. It's because of guys like you that he keeps getting pair to get his head smashed in
I was already going to Japan NYE for JMMA, it's a buckets list checkoff.
Fedor possibly being there is holy confirmation.
