I can only speak for myself as far as sumatriptan. It doesn't knock you out. It takes the headache away and usually fairly quick. I take 100mg's. My son for instance was on 25mg's. He's now on the nasal powder which is even quicker than the pills. Then I will look into your neurologist.
I just don’t wanna be knocked on my ass from meds. I’m too busy for that. I stopped taking all the pain meds for my back because they were causing me too much mental drain.
The nasal powder I take not only gets rid of tje headache, it also gives me energy to go all night longI can only speak for myself as far as sumatriptan. It doesn't knock you out. My migraines are different than my sons. I would say his are worse. I don't have light sensitivity or nausea. I don't get aura's or anything like that. That's why i never thought I had migraines. Dr. Ross educated me when I brought my son in. He spoke with me about family history and informed me I was a migraine sufferer and I needed to make an appt for myself. I just thought I had annoying headaches for sometimes up to 3 days. Advil all day. Next day a vicodin. Day later Advil for the rebound headache caused by the vicodin. No more of that cycle.
So with the triptans. If I need to be somewhere or do something I can take one and be on my way with no issue. If I don't have to be anywhere and not focus it kind of fatigues me mostly in my back. I lay down for a bit and I'm good. It's kind of odd but that's what it does to me.
All my pain is behind my eyes and into my sinuses, it’s terrible. I have light sensitivity and nausea, no auras or anything. Last month I had one that lasted two days. I just dealt with it. only headaches I get are from caffeine withdrawalsAll my pain is behind my eyes and into my sinuses, it’s terrible. I have light sensitivity and nausea, no auras or anything. Last month I had one that lasted two days. I just dealt with it. That’s why I asked my doctor.
I had some bad ones when I was visiting my sister, and she gave me her migraine meds, Maxalt. It worked really well.
I slept 3 hours last night, barely had any caffeine, and worked 12+ hours today without a break... these are my triggers.
I’ve cut down to one iced coffee or iced matcha a day, but I do prefer bolder roasts. I probably can go about the same without before my head hurts. I had maybe half my normal consumption today, moreso because it tasted like water rather than coffee. Although I put cream and sugar in mine, I fully expect a bold, creamy coffee flavor.only headaches I get are from caffeine withdrawals
usually takes about 30 hours for it to come on strong
Only after I am consuming more than one cup/serving of caffeine a day though
So I only have one weak cup a day now, and if I skip no withdrawals
how much to you regularly consume?

If I didn’t want to sleep tonight, I’d be drinking coffee now.
Yeah. It’s crazy how instantaneous the caffeine hits.Ahhh
I don't have any headache experience really so I don't know causes and all that other than caffeine withdrawal
My lady drinks 2-3 cups a day and I drink one weak cup that looks like tea
She had lady parts surgery and when she came to the next day she was recovering well, but she had a really nasty headache so we thought something was wrong with her AKA complications. It was a nasty headache and was causing her pain. Doctors had no real advice on what was going on....I offered her coffee a few times but she was in pain and denied drinking it, then she finally had a half cup of coffee and felt better in minutes and we got her out of the hospital asap...So whenever somebody has headache that is the only thing I can suggest or ask about
Hope your head feels better soon
It's a helluva a drugYeah. It’s crazy how instantaneous the caffeine hits.
That’s what I assumed the migraines were, at first, but I drank coffee and tea, and nothing.
