HS Wrestling figured it out 25 years ago.fix the rules so noone is cutting weight anymore.
Same day weigh ins equals someone dies in the ring from brain traumapost fight weigh in. fight and jump on the scale setup cageside. gets both fighters the same weight in the cage and noone has the advantage of being bigger or heavier.or weigh as you go in i dont really care as long as fighters are the same weight during the fight.
At the point, fighters will just fake injuries come fight night to avoid infractionsMiss weight once, 75% of purse
2nd, you fight for free to stay in whatever organisation
3rd, see ya, you just done gone and got cut
Same day weigh ins equals someone dies in the ring from brain trauma
your not gonna fight that way. noone is gonna cut weight and make themselves sick to fight someone that is the same weight and in great condition. why would you train that way if theres no advantage to it?Same day weigh ins equals someone dies in the ring from brain trauma
Accept people did die, and that's why they stopped doing it. Google Kim Duk-kooyour not gonna fight that way. noone is gonna cut weight and make themselves sick to fight someone that is the same weight and in great condition. why would you train that way if theres no advantage to it?
i watched it live.Accept people did die, and that's why they stopped doing it. Google Kim Duk-koo
So why do you think all of a sudden people will stop making terrible decisions regarding their health and career?i watched it live.
i think most fighters and gyms would absolutely stop the extreme cutting if the rules were changed. theres no advantage now that both fighters are the same weight in the cage. what happend to kim was almost 40 yrs ago. kim and his team were cutting knowing as soon as he made weight he was going to have time to rehydrate and gain weight back before the fight. if the rules were changed to a post fight weighin back then i think his team would have made better choices. So why do you think all of a sudden people will stop making terrible decisions regarding their health and career?
