all logging stops in the summer.if the mills run low on stockpiled wood then the mills close. the tolko mills are having a labor dispute and the company is playing games instead of a lock out they are closing mills for a week and then once everyone iss off they are increasing it to a month-6 weeks.they are trying to starve everyone out. every time we have a NDP govt all our mills start going tits up.they are economy killers. alll industry suffers but they create fake-and-gay govt do nothing social worker type jobs to keep the stats lowMany have closed for good, but some are still taking orders. That beetle fucked some shit up over there.
The eastern coast always has scheduled shutdowns this time of year. It isn't having much effect on the market though - price of lumber is still pretty damn low.
I think the Euro wood is jacking up the supply. So much out there.
