I've said this before the wealthy, traveled, position in society many times are approached. This isn't rare. They have inside access that would be of benefit to agencies with acronyms. All countries do this. They would be committing malpractice if they didn't tap these resources. Some of these people end up being scoundrels. Carter Page recently admitted to being an asset.

Our Gov. called for an investigation. I am more then happy to see what the results are. I have no idea what this guy was doing. I’m not even sure how he earned his fortune.
Well, one is the person who works for an agency running sources, the other is a person who does not, and has access and an inclination to share that information, for whatever reason foul or fair, who is being run by the operative. 'Working' for an agency does not mean an employee as such. (Although it might lol)
